It’s time. I’m making a record. The past year has been an incredible time of change for me. I relocated to Atlanta, lost some people very dear to me, and had to navigate coming into myself through all of it. Now it’s March and I have a collection of new songs that reflect all of that.
I’m sitting in a coffee shop in my hometown right now and i’m trying to process what this is all going to look like. I don’t know what the direction is going to be yet. I don’t know what the sound is going to be yet. But, I know that I have thoughts that I want to share. I’ve realized in the past few months that the songs that are easiest for people to connect to are the ones that are most personal. And so that’s what i’m doing. Some of these songs are tough to sing because they are the stories of my life. The ups and downs and everything in between. But maybe that’s what people are looking for. Maybe they’re looking for songs that aren’t shy about how tough life is. I’m so good at disguising the harshness of the truth sometimes. Now i’m realizing that life gets ugly and sometimes the only way to deal with it is to admit that.
As i’m processing what this is going to take, i’m realizing that I can’t do this alone. It’s going to take resources that are beyond me. So, i’m going to be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the next month or two. I don’t know what the monetary goal for the campaign will be, but i’m hoping to raise somewhere between 25-50% of the cost and cover the rest on my own. More details will be coming about all of this in the future, but I want to get it out there now so that people can be thinking about it and deciding if they want to support it. Right now, we’re shooting to be tracking in July/August for a late fall release. My good friend Aaron Krause will be producing the record in Nashville. Final details aren’t put together yet, but the money I raise will be going towards compensating him and renting the studio and engineer we need to track drums and any other big things.
If you’re even considering being involved with this, i’d love to keep you connected. Email loganmillermusic@gmail.com and I will send you a copy of my live EP and a demo. I want to be transparent in this process and let people actually decide if they’d like to help out. If you think it’s something you’d like to help out with, it would mean so much to me for you to share this around and get other people involved. The Kickstarter campaign will have benefits for getting involved and i’m hoping that there will be something for everyone to get excited about. Also, if you want to see some video’s of my old songs and what I do, you can go here.
Thanks so much for the consideration,
Logan
Here’s the 2nd video from my live one take EP shoot with Tom Wehrle. It’s a cover of Coldplay’s “Charlie Brown”. Hope you enjoy it and spread it around!

Last week, I had an incredible night tracking and filming a live EP with my good buddy, Tom Wehrle. We did 6 songs all together. The audio is all finished and the videos are just about done. We’ll be releasing all the videos in the coming weeks, but for now, here is the first track of the EP. If you like it, you can pick up the whole EP at www.loganmiller.bandcamp.com. Aaaaaaaaand, if you buy it, you’ll get a bonus track of me covering Charlie Brown by Coldplay. It would mean the world to me if you shared it with people who might like it. Thanks so much!
